ACE Preschool Program Overview The Avondale Elementary School District ACE Preschool Program provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children ages 3–5 can learn, grow, and explore. Children who are 3, 4, or 5 years old and not yet enrolled in kindergarten are eligible to participate in the program. Our dedicated staff work together to support each child’s development through hands-on learning, discovery, and play. The ACE Preschool Program offers high-quality child development services designed to meet the individual needs of every child through a strong partnership between staff, families, and the school community. Our preschool classrooms provide a literacy-rich, well-balanced environment that combines academic learning with play-based experiences. This approach encourages the physical, social, emotional, creative, and cognitive development of every child. Through developmentally appropriate activities, our program aims to: • Encourage self-esteem and self-reliance • Enhance communication skills • Develop self-control and responsibility • Teach problem-solving and decision-making skills • Encourage appropriate interactions with peers and adults • Respect and celebrate the cultural values and backgrounds of families • Develop an interest in and joy for learning • Strengthen fine and gross motor skills • Encourage children to show care and concern for others Enrollment Information Registration is available to children 3, 4, and 5 years old who are not yet of kindergarten age. After winter break, enrollment will be limited to children who are 4 or 5 years old for the remainder of the school year.
